On the occasion of the Catarina Airshow 2023 in Sao Paolo, Leonardo announced the appointment of Gualter Helicopters (Aero Service Representação) as Distributor for its latest generation single-turbine helicopter, the AW09, in Brazil.
At Heli-Expo 2023 in USA in March Leonardo had announced preliminary sales contracts for over 50 AW09s with various customers, and these included 20 units for Gualter Helicopters. The company based in the Sao Paolo area will distribute the AW09 in Brazil, where customers have expressed a strong interest in acquiring the new helicopter.
Both sides will greatly benefit from this partnership. Gualter Pizzi has 35 years of experience selling helicopters across Brazil and has sold over 700 in the country.
Acquired three years ago by Leonardo, the AW09 perfectly complements Leonardo’s product range in the Long Light Single segment, introducing an all-new design aircraft to sustain a long-term competitive positioning in this weight category.
