As part of Leonardo, Kopter is pleased to attend the 2022 edition of HAI in Dallas, Texas.
While flight tests continue in Switzerland and preparation of the next AW09 prototype is going forward, representatives of the company are meeting customers of the AW09 together with Leonardo to provide an update on the programme and further deepen relationships. With Leonardo providing expertise and support to Kopter, AW09 customers are confident that the helicopter will meet their expectations in terms of performance at entry into service.
Major improvements that have been brought to the AW09 helicopter in the past period include a new main rotor head, an elongated mast, new flight controls, and a new avionics suite. The latest upgrades are the new upper cowlings introduced in December 2021 for improved aerodynamics and the new gen. 4.0 blades that will be tested in flight in due course.
